Asus Ac56 Driver Linux






The asus usb-ac56 is a dual-band 802.11ac wi-fi adapter with a usb 3.0 connection that brings high-performance wireless networking support to desktop and notebook pcs. the usb-ac56 features a usb 3.0 connection with support for wireless data rates up to 400 mbit/s at 2.4 ghz and 867 mbit/s at 5 ghz with compatible routers.. Until now there is no linux driver for the asus pce-ac56 in the linux standard kernel. however, a driver for the used chipset is provided by broadcom for download . this driver has to be compiled and installed per hand.. Cross compile driver for asus usb-ac56 . this is the command: make arch:=arm cross_compile:=arm-linux-gnueabihf- this tells me that it can't find asm/bitsperlong.h, but it does exist on /usr/include/asm ! what am i missing? thank you for your patience! pedro roque roque.












Linux driver available from asus site. module compiled fine -- can't get the wifi to work. (centos 7 and an asus ac56 dongle) and i think it's almost working, but not quite there. i'm using the most recent driver from the asus website (4.3.1.4 dated 11/3/2015). it compiles and loads and the network device is recognized, but it appears to be.
