Unable to open twain source its been working well on my new dell xps8700 running windows 10 for over 6 months. suddenly i get "unable to open twain source please check connection then re-start toolbox" unplugging and plugging the connection the computer gives the little beeps acknowledging the connection.. Hi allhaven't used my scanner for a while.when i try to scan it displays a message box titled canoscan toolbox with a big exclamation mark that says "unable to select twain source"in my comp the.... When i open the canoscan toolbox, and try to scan, it says "unable to select twain source." i have tried the troubleshooter, downloaded the driver and the entire canoscan program (for 64-bit vista) from canon's website, and tried many other fixes..
Canon scanner – unable to open twain source. then re-start toolbox. the problem is that the twain drivers are not within the system variables path. what i do first is open the control panel. next i click system and security. then i click system. next, i click advanced system settings.. Unable to open twain source - canoscan lide 500f. "unable to select twain source" - canon lide 25 scanner issue. the canoscan toolbox 4.9 is in the program (x86) folder). this is the same as the other windows 7 machine. the other machine did not need the path variable and it works just fine.. If not, go to c:windowstwain_32, and see if you have a folder similar to cnql60 they copy the full path of the folder into clipboard click windows' start button, then search "environment", then.
